About this item
- Excellent Drainage & Moisture Control: You will receive 10 lbs of expanded clay balls (4-16mm in diameter); Their superior drainage and aeration make them ideal for the drainage layer in bioactive terrariums, perfectly balancing humidity levels; These clay pebbles also can be used as base for substrates such as moss or coco coir to create a healthier and natural habitat for reptiles and amphibians
- 100% Natural Clay Material: Our reptile substrate is made from 100% natural clay expanded and fired at high temperatures, forming lightweight, hard, and porous granules; pH-neutral, low-dust, and resistant to crumbling, these LECA balls maintain structural stability without disintegrating when wet, providing a stable and safe bedding for your reptile terrarium or bioactive tank
- Bioactive Tank Setup: These lightweight leca balls create a false bottom for your vivarium, when moistened, they form a natural water reservoir that slowly releases moisture to maintain stable humidity; The porous structure helps absorb odors and reptile waste, keeping the habitat clean and fresh; It also provides excellent root support and airflow for live plants, draining excess water to prevent root rot, perfect for autospray rearing chambers with live plants
- Easy to Use and Store: Rinse the hydro balls 2-3 times under running water before use to remove surface dust; They can be used directly as a substrate (2-3 inch) in aquariums or as a hydroponic medium; After use, simply wash and air-dry for reuse, they maintain excellent drainage, aeration, and support even after multiple cycles, making them a long-lasting, sustainable substrate; Packed in high-quality resealable foil bags to keep them dry and easy to store for long-term use
- Wide Applications: These natural clay pellets are an ideal substrate for plants or reptile enclosures, meeting all your bioactive terrarium needs; They also improve soil aeration during propagation and rooting for plants, preventing rot caused by overwatering; Ideal for hydroponic gardening and aquaponics setups; They are an absolute must-have for reptile keepers and hydroponic gardeners
