These gritty mix potting soils are designed for lithops specifically, as they are more demanding in their care, requirements and water needs. There is no perlite or vermiculite in our mix so no worries of floating media or holding too much water, There is a diversity of grain sizes so that there is ample aeration and drainage of the soil which prevents excess moisture retention to avoid root rot.
