MONOPON Peat-Free Mineral Potting Soil, 2.7 US dry gal

LECHUZA MONOPON is a purely mineral potting medium made from natural pumice, created for growers who want healthy roots without the guesswork. Unlike standard mixes, MONOPON stores water and releases it gradually, giving plants a steady supply while excess moisture drains away from the root zone. That balance helps prevent the waterlogging behind yellowing leaves and failing plants. Use it on its own as a soil-free substrate, as a drainage layer at the base of any planter, or blended into existing soil to improve aeration and structure. Because it is volume-stable it will not compact or break down over time, and being completely peat-free it is a more sustainable choice than expanded clay. Suitable for indoor and outdoor plants of all kinds.

About this item

• Natural pumice stores moisture and releases it gradually for reliable drainage, protecting roots from the waterlogging that causes yellow leaves and plant loss.
• WORKS IN ANY POT — Use as a standalone mineral substrate or as a bottom drainage layer in conventional planters that have no built-in irrigation system.
• IMPROVES YOUR SOIL — Mix into potting soil to loosen and aerate it, prevent compaction, and keep the structure stable season after season.
• COMPLETELY PEAT-FREE — A sustainable mineral alternative to expanded clay that protects natural peatlands while supporting healthy root growth.
• YOU CONTROL FEEDING — Not pre-fertilized, so you fertilize on demand exactly when plants need it; supplied in a 2.7 US dry gallon bag.
